«In Those Lands», screened in Cineclub Cuenca

The short film In Those Lands, directed by Nayra Sanz Fuentes, will be screened this Wednesday, May 22, at Chaplin Cineclub in Cuenca. It will be screened together with the feature film Cambio de reinas within its quarterly schedule.

As every Wednesday, Cineclub Chaplin will meet in Multicines Odeón Cuenca (Room 5) in sessions reserved for members: at 5:00 p.m., at 7:30 p.m. and 22:00 hours.

Nuevas selecciones de «En esas tierras» y «Sub Terrae»

El cortometraje En esas tierras, producido por Rinoceronte Films y dirigido por Nayra Sanz Fuentes, continúa proyectándose en festivales nacionales e internacionales tras recibir el premio al Mejor Cortometraje de la Sección Oficial en el 10.º Festival IBAFF.

Este mes de mayo se podrá ver, en primer lugar, dentro de la Sección Oficial del 19.º Festival Internacional De Cortometrajes Cine A La Calle, que se celebrará entre los días 21 y 25.

Además, el día 22 de mayo será exhibido en tres pases del Cine Club Chaplin, en Cuenca, como parte de su programación regular.

A continuación, el día 30 estará a las 17:00 horas en la sección Ecoislas del 21.º Festival Internacional de Cine Medioambiental de Canarias, en Gacharico (Tenerife).

Ya en junio, el día 12, En esas tierras estará en Alemania participando en AtlantikLights – Noche del Cine Canario en Berlín, un evento que tendrá lugar en la sala más antigua del país, el cine Moviemento.

Por su parte, Sub Terrae, más de dos años después de su estreno y un centenar de selecciones nacionales e internacionales, ha sido elegido en nuevos festivales de Francia y del Líbano. El día 23 de junio estará en la Competición europea de cortometrajes del 24.º Festival de Contis (a las 11:00 en Saint-Julien-en-Born) y el 8 de julio en el 11.º Cabriolet Film Festival, en una proyección al aire libre en las escaleras de San Nicolás de Beirut (a las 22:00 horas).

“Selfie” and “The hidden city” compete in DocumentaMadrid

We begin the week by remembering that Selfie and The Hidden City, a production and a co-production of Rinoceronte Films, will participate this week at DocumentaMadrid film festival.

As we already announced, the short film Selfie, directed by Nayra Sanz Fuentes, will premiere on Sunday 12th and will be shown again on Friday 17th, in both cases at 7:30 p.m. Selfie will be part of the National Short Film Competition and will feature both screenings with the participation of the director.

 

For its part, The Hidden City, directed by Víctor Moreno and co-produced by El Viaje Films, Rinoceronte Films, Kino Pravda, Pomme Hurlante Films and dirk manthey film UG, will be at the “Fugas” International Competition on Friday 10th at 8:00 p.m. with the presence of the director and on Monday 13th at 7:30 p.m.

All screenings will take place at Cineteca – Matadero Madrid!

The new short film by Nayra Sanz Fuentes, produced by Rinoceronte Films, is called Selfie and will be premierer in May at DocumentaMadrid festival.

We are also living in the era of the selfie, one of the most frequently used words in contemporary society today. Selfies bring up questions about who talks to whom, but more than anything they make us wonder about who is watching whom and for what purpose.

“The Hidden City” in Barcelona’s D’A film festival

The hidden city has been selected to participate in Barcelona’s D’A Film Festival Barcelona.

The film directed by Victor Moreno, who has already participated in the festival with his feature film Edificio España, will participate in the section “A collective impulse”. It will be screened tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1, at 8:00 pm in CCCB Teatre, and on Sunday, May 5, at 9:30 pm in Zumzeig Cinema, “The Hidden City” competes for the Audience Award, the OpenECAM Award and the Movistar + Award, and will feature in the screenings with the participation of the director.

“Sub Terrae”, exhibited in Arcosanti International Film Carnivale, Arizona

This Saturday, the short film by Nayra Sanz Fuentes «Sub Terrae» will be shown in Arcosanti International Film Carnivale, a festival held in the urban laboratory of Arcosanti.

Arcosanti is an experimental city located in the state of Arizona, in the United States. Since 1970, this city explores new ways of combining architecture and ecology with the aim of promoting social interaction and accessibility with the least impact on the environment.

Meeting with Nayra Sanz Fuentes in La Vorágine, Santander

A meeting will take place this Friday with the filmmaker Nayra Sanz Fuentes in the book shop La Vorágine, in Santander.

The meeting will take place in the contexto of the participated video workshop organised by Instituto crítico de (des)aprendizaje, in which Nayra will participate as a teacher.

During the event some of her works such as In Those Lands, Sub Terrae and Just Another Day will be shown.

“The Hidden City”, in cinemas from May 31st

Ismailia Film Festival selects “In Those Lands”

In Those Lands, the short film produced by Rinoceronte Films, will participate this week in the Egyptian festival Ismailia Film Festival. The director Nayra Sanz Fuentes already participated in the previous edition of this festival with her previous work, Sub Terrae.

Ismailia Film Festival, which celebrates its 21st edition this year, begins this Wednesday and will run until April 16.

“Sub Terrae” will be shown this week in Espacio Enter Canarias

Today begins in TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes the event Espacio Enter Canarias, in whose section dedicated to cinema participates the short film Sub Terrae.

With free entry, Espacio Enter will take place in Cuarto Oscuro – TEA between today and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In addition, Made in Canarias short films will have a special screening on Saturday, April 6, at 4:00 p.m. in TEA’s Assembly Hall, with free admission after withdrawal of invitations in the downtown ticket office.
